Position Overview

We are seeking an individual preferring flexible hours to join our team in the Winnipeg office. As an Assistant the incumbent will contribute by providing administrative support to the Portfolio Manager and Associate, ensuring high-level client service, and effective functioning of the team through administration-related tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the professional servicing of incoming telephone and email contacts from internal and external partners
  • Assist in preparing account documentation including client reviews, presentations, correspondance and reports
  • Support client relationships
  • Respond to requests for information from clients
  • Investigate and resolve inquiries related to accounts
  • Aiding in the request of information and documentation from clients in order to open accounts and keep client files up to date
  • Filing and general administrative office duties as required
  • Adhere to professional practices and standards, as well as internal processes and controls
  • Any ad hoc projects as required
Skills & Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in the financial sector
  • Demonstrate a professional and friendly manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, work within time constraints and follow-up
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and programs
Education
  • Post-secondary education
  • Ideally the candidate will have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
