Position Overview

As a member of the Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for IIROC regulatory filings, supporting regulatory audit requirements and provide financial analysis and accounting support. The position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and organization skills. This position requires the individual to work within the office in a hybrid capacity.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in IIROC regulatory filings for introducing brokers, an in-depth knowledge of Dataphile and will have either completed or in progress of completing the CPA designation.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing the day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis for assigned areas
  • Prepare daily FX P&L and coordinate with traders on open trade request
  • Prepare month end journal entries and various account reconciliations
  • Reviewing of corporate general ledgers, Balance Sheet accounts, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
  • Assisting in preparing monthly reporting and quarterly financial statements
  • General analysis of the profit and loss statements for various branches and resolve related inquiries
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations and review transactions for special reports
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reporting
  • Contribute to projects to implement process improvements
  • Cross train as back-up for other staff if needed
  • Support year-end external audits
Skills & Qualifications
  • Over 5 years of experience on a similar position or a related field
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Experience with IIROC regulatory filings Form 1 and MFR
  • Experience with Dataphile
Education
  • University Degree in Business or Accounting
  • CPA designation completed or in progress
